Morocco has banned all flight to and from the UK due to the soaring cases on Wednesday from 11:59pm.

Latest figures from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control shows that Morocco’s cases as of 14 October stood at just 10.4 per 100,000 population, whilst the UK’s current rate is a staggering 445.5 per 100,000.

British Airway, EasyJet and other airlines were forced to cancel flights today following the announcement from Morocco’s National Office of Airports who said this will stay in place “until further notice.”

Families in England and Wales who have holidays or flights booked for half term next won’t be allowed to travel to Morocco.

EasyJet was forced to cancel a flight from Gatwick to Marrakech and told passengers, “As we’ll be unable to fly to Morocco in order to operate any return flights after today, we’ve taken the decision to cancel your flight with us today.”
