Influencer marketing has become a vital part of marketing especially now that social media has become woven into entire fabrics of everyday life. Business owners and entrepreneurs are starting to pay attention to Influencer marketing because it provides an opportunity to create high-impact conversations with their target markets especially on social media.
Instagram is the fastest growing social media network in 2019 with its more than 1 billion monthly users who upload 95 million photos, 400 million Instagram stories, and “like” 4.2 billion posts per day. We caught up with Tal Melenboim, the founder of an Israeli Startup pushing the frontiers of social media marketing with a new breed of CGI influencers.
- Company: Zoe Dvir
- What it does in a sentence: Helping businesses leverage CGI Influencers as a marketing strategy for maximum user engagement.
- Founded: 2019

Who are you?
My name is Tal Melenboim, I am a multidisciplinary expert with experiences across many industries. I am a serial entrepreneur; I founded Movota before we sold it to Bertelsmann AG. Score Plug is another company I founded before it was acquired by Spil Games. As an engineer, I often double as CTO and I have 8 US Patents applications to my name. I am a pioneer in the field of CGI influencer marketing based on my experience as a serial entrepreneur who understands the role of marketing in building successful businesses.
What problem are you trying to solve?
Tal Melenboim: Influencer marketing is only effective when there’s a perfect match between the influencer’s persona, the product, and the target audience. I am passionate about applying my experience and skills in bringing cutting edge digital technologies and solutions to the marketing industry.
What is Zoe Dvir all about?
Tal Melenboim: Zoe Dvir is our first CGI influencer, she is a young, trendy, and inspirational figure whose message to her followers encourages them to be themselves – “You’re amazing just the way you are”. She has built up an active following of more than 31K followers on Instagram in less than 6 months.
We are actively engaged in using proprietary virtual technology to create tailored influencer marketing campaigns for individual clients. Our current business model creates leading avatars for different brands across multiple industries.
What was the initial reaction to Zoe Dvir like?
Tal Melenboim: When we launched Zoe Dvir earlier this year, the reaction was split between pleasant surprise and outright disbelieve.
We saw comments in her Instagram posts from people who were impressed with how realistic and authentic she was. And then, we got comments from people saying “there’s no way you a real person. Nice try tho.” Most comments tend to take the cautious line of not dismissing her while trying to understand if she’s real or not. See for yourself:
Interestingly, businesses were quick to see the potential and Zoe Dvir has had some partnerships with both online and offline businesses.”
What is the traction of Zoe Dvir now?
Tal Melenboim: Like I mentioned earlier, Zoe Dvir has grown to become a popular Instagram influencer and she has more than 31K followers. The reaction of the public towards her per time is usually a function of the aspects of her personality and her perspective on trending topics. We’ve had people asking her questions, following her take on local events to stay up to date. We recently uploaded a picture suggesting she might vote for a political party in Israel on the elections day and it became quite popular.
We are also seeing increased interest from businesses who explore the idea of developing their own CGI influencers as well.
What are your future plans for Zoe Dvir?
Tal Melenboim: We are already doing some work on including AI and motion graphics into Zoe Dvir’s code base. Soon enough, Zoe would be able to imitate human motions and gestures and do more interesting stuffs such as running, dancing, or skydiving.

In addition, our workload is expanding, and we are currently hiring. If you know anyone interested in CGI, AI, or marketing, please send them in our way.
Do you have any advice for entrepreneurs on getting the best out of influencer marketing?
Tal Melenboim: I think the easiest way to get the best out of influencer marketing is to understand your brand story. Once you understand your brand story, you’ll find it easier to find the right influencers that will resonate best with your target audience. If you are finding it hard to get the perfect influencer for your brand, you can turn to technology to help you develop you perfect CGI influencer.
