Jaguar launched its luxury SUV, the F-Pace, by breaking a Guinness world record for cars performing 360 degree loop-the-loops.

The stunt performed by legendary driver Terry Grant marked the launch of Jaguar’s first SUV in its 80-year-old history.

Priced at £34,170, the car has been produced in Jaguar’s factory in Solihull.

Jaguar’s design director, said: “The Jaguar F-PACE inspired by the F-TYPE, represents the perfect balance of style, performance and practicality. It offers a unique combination of Jaguar sports car inspired exterior design, fused beautifully with a thoroughly practical and spacious luxury interior. The F-PACE is our family sports car.”

Here are five key facts about the Jaguar F-Pace:

Variations: buyers will be able to choose from Prestige, R-Sport, Portfolio and S models and a limited-run First Edition version.

Engines range from 178bhp 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel, through to a 296bhp 3.0-litre V6 diesel and range-topping 375bhp supercharged petrol.

The car has a four-zone climate system (enough to have all four seasons at once), four 12V sockets and four USB ports, plus electric recline rear seats.

It has a luggage capacity of 650-litres.

The car offers 65mm knee space and 944mm leg room in the rear seats. Nice.
