On 1 October Iran attacked Israel with almost 200 ballistic cruise missiles in response to the killing or the Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in an air strike amongst many others.
The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed that he will retaliate with a strike on Iran at a time of their choosing.
A source familiar with Israels plans told CNN on Wednesday that their plan to attack Iran is now ready, the source provided nothing further.
The Iranian Foreign Minister said on Wednesday that they are ready and prepared for the Israeli attack due to take place and are fully ready to respond to any sort of โadventure seeking.โ
Abbas Araghchi told UN secretary-general Antonio Guterres during a phone call on Tuesday, “Responsibility of consequences of spreading insecurity in the region will be on the regime and the United States as main supporter.โ
The Israeli President was being pushed by some ministers to attack oil infrastructure and nuclear facilities.
In a call with the US President Joe Biden, Netanyahu assured him Israels counterstrike on Iran will be on military targets, however there are nuclear facilities that are also military facilities, so this remains unclear.
The Israeli Prime Minister also assured President Biden they will not attack oil facilities inside Iran, this comes as there has been fears this push the price of oil and fuel to their highest levels.
However, despite what assurance Netanyahu has given Washington, ultimately, he will make the decision as to what to attack based Israels own national interests.
โWe listen to the opinions of the United States, but we will make our final decisions based on our national interests,โ Netanyahuโs office wrote on X.
