May 2025 marks a new chapter in the evolution of British online retail. Despite the challenges of recent years, the e-commerce sector hasn’t just bounced back — it’s surged past pre-crisis levels. A key driver of this growth has been the rise of digital tools that make shopping easier and help people save money amid ongoing economic uncertainty.

According to the latest report from the British Retail Consortium, online sales in the UK are now 35% higher than they were before the pandemic. British shoppers are increasingly seeking out smart solutions that help them shop more sensibly and stretch their pounds further.

Tapping into this growing demand, Anatolii Skrypniak — the founder of the Eastern European price comparison platform E-Catalog — has announced the relaunch of the service in the UK under a new name: PriceHub. The rebranding comes in response to market research which found that many British users found the name E-Catalog unclear or unrelated to price comparison.

The name PriceHub was chosen after focus group testing confirmed that it better communicates the platform’s core mission: to serve as a central hub that gathers and organises pricing data from thousands of retailers. Today, the service already offers detailed listings for millions of products and helps users find the best-value options when shopping online.

One standout feature of the new platform is its emphasis on AI technologies. An AI assistant has already been launched, offering 24/7 real-time advice on product specifications and helping users make informed decisions. According to Skrypniak, the team has big plans to expand these AI capabilities even further, aiming to create the most user-friendly experience possible for British shoppers.

In other markets — including Poland, Ukraine, and the United States — the original brand name E-Katalog will remain in place, where it’s already earned the trust of millions of users. But it’s the UK market that’s set to become the launchpad for the company’s next wave of innovation and global expansion.
