A G7 Summit is to be held in Cornwall between June 11 and 13, where leaders from the UK, the US, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan could allow travel from June with new Covid passports.
The British Transport Secretary, Grant Shapps called for the meeting to allow Brits to travel freely around the world using the system potentially from 28 June.
A Government source told The Telegraph, “G7 ministers will be looking at digital solutions to simplify and facilitate international travel and that would include vaccination passports.”
Shapps is hoping to agree an international approach allowing countries on the green list to accept proof of vaccinations or a negative test to be allowed entry.
