FTSE 100 and 250 stocks opening ‘delayed’, says London Stock Exchange

The FTSE 100 and 250 did not start trading straight away at 8am today because the London Stock Exchange “is currently investigating a potential trading services issue”. The stocks reopened shortly after 9.40am.

The last time this happened was just over a year ago, when opening trade for delayed by an hour.

The London Stock Exchange (LSE) said they “experienced a technical software issue” that “affected trading in certain securities.”

Trading resumed at 9.40am and hour and half later.
