Downing Street’s Larry the Cat keeps his job as chief mouser, but who hasn’t?

The Prime Minister Boris Johnson has held a Tory reshuffle on Wednesday which has seen Gavin Williamson the former Education Secretary being sacked along with many others.

A “very angry” Dominic Raab has been demoted from Foreign Secretary to Justice Secretary,but retains role as deputy PM whilst Robert Jenrick, Robert Buckland, Gavin WIliamson and Amanda Milling have all been sacked from the Cabinet and kicked to the backbenches.

Liz Truss has been promoted from Trade Secretary to the Foreign Office and now becomes the second woman to have ever held the role as Froeign Secretary.

Priti Patel somehow managed to keep her position as Home Secretary and wrote on Twitter that there is “still so much more to do to deliver for the British people.”

Rishi Sunak will remain as the Chancellor of the Exchequer, whilst Michael Gove has been appointed the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government.

In a tweet Downing Street said of Gove’s appointment, “He takes on cross-government responsibility for levelling up. He retains ministerial responsibility for the Union and elections.”
