Price of a single class A share of Berkshire Hathaway soared on Thursday, bringing the Nebraska-based company’s market value to $327.8bn. The company is now the fourth biggest firm listed on the S&P.
Berkshire, which has invested in Coca-Cola, IBM, Goldman Sachs and Tesco, reported a record $6.4bn profit on revenue of $49.76bn in the second quarter.
Buffett, nicknamed the “Oracle of Omaha”, is the world’s third-richest person with a $58.2bn wealth pile .
