A forward-thinking accountancy firm has launched a revolutionary tool to help business owners answer all their burning tax questions.

Tax-genie.ai, the brainchild of Reading accountant James Clayton, is powered by the latest AI technology.

James, from Dead Simple Accounting, wanted to create a resource that could tap into the wealth of information on the HMRC website, but was easy to navigate and ensured business owners got the answers to their questions without any distractions.

James said: “You can’t use Tax Genie to make a wish and pay your tax, but it will certainly help many small businesses address key tax issues. Business owners shouldn’t have to pay an accountant to find out how to register for VAT or what they can include as expenses, nor for answering basic accounting or tax questions.

“There are lots of accountancy blogs online, but it is often hard to know how up to date and relevant the information is. It is common to jump from one ‘expert’ to the next online and before you know it an hour has passed, and you are nowhere nearer to finding out the answer to your question.

“HMRC’s website is a brilliant resource. Everything you would ever need to know about tax is on there, but crucially it can be very difficult to navigate and find the answers to often simple questions. That’s where Tax Genie comes in,” he said.
