John Lewis are to recruit 7,000 temporary roles for the Christmas period in stores, fulfillment centres and delivery drivers of the online grocery division.
Bosses at the John Lewis Partnership (JLP) which is an employee-owned business said this is an increase of 2,000 more than last year as they are expecting an increase on demand this year.
550 permanentt full-time driver and warehouse workers will be hired for Waitrose.com and John Lewis.com customer delivery sites.
