You will not believe what the Top Gear trio could be about to call their new £160m show

It’s excellent and awful – as you’d expect

The possible new name for Amazon’s £160m car show has Clarkson, May and Hammond written all over it.

Lawyers working for Jeremy Clarkson registered the trademark “Gear Knobs” earlier this month, according to BuzzFeed, creating speculation that this could be the name of the new TV series.

“Gear Knobs” and the variant “Gear Nobs” has been registered for use on TV and merchandise.

The name “House of Cars” has also been rumoured.

The trio would not comment on the trademark, so it seems we’ll have to wait and see.
