Twitter chief executive Dick Costolo is jetting into London this week to meet advertising agency bosses.
The UK is Twitter’s largest market outside the US, and its advertising revenue is growing steadily. The firm is now generating £1m a week in sales, according to the Evening Standard.
The social media giant recently demonstrated its desire to partner with UK firms after snapping up SecondSync, a Bristol based social data analytics firm.
Twitter is looking to gain a share of TV advertising budgets by using analysis to prove how valuable the social network can be for viewers watching and discussing TV shows.
Could this also be because Twitter will be looking to place video ads on the site in the future?
