Westminster Bridge reopens after Parliament bomb scare


Westminster Bridge and major roads next to Parliament have reopened after a bomb scare this morning.

Portcullis House, a government building across the road from the Houses of Parliament, was evacuated and police officers were at the scene at about 9.30am.

However, the package which sparked the scare was found to be non-suspicious, according to a police spokeswoman, and as of 10.30am Westminster Bridge and the surrounding roads were being reopened.
