The Conservatives have sold a meeting with Canadian pop star Justin Bieber to raise thousands of pounds for the party’s coffers.
A financier paid more than £10,000 for backstage access to the star and will give the prize to four teenage girls. He won the auction at the Tories’ annual campaign fundraiser – the Black and White party, as reported by the Sun.
Access to Bieber at his London O2 Concert on March 7 was donated by Universal Music UK, his record label in Britain.
According to the catalogue for the auction, held at the Hurlingham Club in Fulham, West London, it would be “every girl’s dream”.
“The four golden ticket holders will get the chance to go backstage to meet face to face with the gorgeous teen heart-throb,” it added.
