Obama, BBC News and a Twitter help account: The bizarre Anonymous hacking targets

The group declared war on IS – but it has its sights on others too

You might be aware Anonymous, the global hacking group, has declared war on Islamic State but have you seen the organisation’s hit list?

It seems as well as pro-IS Twitter accounts, Anonymous also wants to take down those of President Obama, Hillary Clinton, BBC News, the New York Times and even Twitter’s help account for verified users, according to the BBC.

These accounts all featured in a list of supposedly pro-IS accounts which was posted online. Among these well-known accounts were some who were seemingly targeted simply because they post in Arabic.
