More migrants have arrived at the UKโs shores after crossing the English Channel on Thursday.
The migrants who are normally escorted from France by French patrol boats were seen disembarking a Border Force boats wearing life jackets in Dover.
Home Office figures shows that 2210 made the crossing on Wednesday using three boats and the total so far this year that has arrived at the UK stands at 3,434.
Over the past five days this month data shows that 1,378 people have arrived to the UK after crossing the Channel.
A Home Office spokesperson said, โWe all want to end dangerous small boat crossings, which threaten lives and undermine our border security.
โWe are delivering real change in our approach through legislation to create new tools, powers, offences and enforcement action which will keep us one step ahead of the people-smuggling gangs.โ
