Entreprenerd: From refugee to multimillionaire in 25 years

We meet a woman who built her business from literally nothing

Time, money, knowledge, contacts – these are what we’d generally consider the cornerstones of every start-up.

Imagine you want to become a successful entrepreneur in London but you don’t have any of these things… and you don’t even speak English.

That was the challenge facing Susie Ambrose, who went from refugee to multimillionaire in less than 25 years.

Ambrose now has businesses with a combined turnover of more than £12m and a property portfolio worth £5m.

Today’s episode is about how she did it.

Find out:

  • How it feels to arrive in the UK as a refugee
  • What it takes to overcome huge obstacles
  • Why London isn’t as unfriendly as we think it is
