British bosses are world’s most confident

Bosses of British businesses are the most confident in the world , according to a survey.

Around nine out of 10 British chief executives are confident in their own company’s growth over the next 12 months, and six out of 10 think the economy will improve over the next year.

This showed higher levels of confidence than any other nation, according to PwC’s Annual Global CEO Survey, which was launched at Davos yesterday.

“Our 2014 Global CEO Survey shows that UK CEOs are far more optimistic about growth prospects than their peers in developed economies around the world,” said PwC UK chairman and senior partner Ian Powell.
